Legend of Pan Gu
Is there any relationship between Song characters and Song Huizong?Issuing time:2023-03-18 22:19 There are roughly two versions of the origin of Song characters. It is said that it is a font made by calligraphers who collect the characteristics of Chinese characters and simplify the structure of Chinese characters from oracle bone inscriptions to Qin Shihuang's "book with text". Second, it is a printing font invented in response to the needs of block printing. In the second view, some people think that it is developed on the basis of the original font "thin gold body" created by Emperor Huizong of Song Dynasty. "Thin gold body" is also called "thin muscle body", and also has the elegant name of "crane body". The thin gold body is long and thin, tall and straight. The writing is gentle and strong. The horizontal belt closes the front, the vertical has the pen, and the left-falling and right-falling swing is sharp and does not float. The whole font is soft with hardness, and the combination of hardness and softness is the special font for imperial documents in the period of Emperor Huizong of Song Dynasty. It is said that the thin gold style eventually evolved into the Song style, which is related to Qin Hui, the prime minister of the Song Dynasty. Qin Hui was deeply loved by Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty because of his beautiful handwriting and his ability to cater to flattery. In the process of dealing with documents, Qin Hui found that the official documents presented in various places had a variety of fonts, which were extremely inconvenient to read, so he had the intention to standardize the fonts. In order to win Huizong's favor, Qin Hui, on the basis of imitating Huizong's "thin gold style", took Chinese characters to simplify strokes and created a new font form, which was called "Qin style" at that time. Later, Qin Hui became a sinner through the ages for framing Zhongliang. People changed the name of "Qin Style" to "Song Style" according to the name of the Dynasty. This statement is not clearly documented in the literature. However, according to the textual research of Chinese character experts, the Song style and imitation Song style we use today are in line with the thin gold style from the shape to the stroke.
